The Savinja River region provides the visitor with an insight into the traditional growing of hop. Nearby is located another important Slovenian town of Celje, also with a medieval center.

An excellent location, a picturesque surrounding, famous history and nice, hospitable and open people are already for centuries jointly forming the image of its uniqueness.

 
Mozirje, in which once there were important fair-trades is today interesting for tourists especially by the flower garden of Mozirski gaj with its events and the skiing center Golte with winter and summer programs. The place is an excellent vantage point for numerous mountaineering and biking trips. A remarkable and picturesque commune of Mozirje is definitely worth a look.
 
Podčetrtek is located in the center of the region and is given its typical image by the remarkable castle. The place was with the name of Lonsperch mentioned already in 1017, while the Slovenian name derives from the forth day in the week when under the castle a market and court day was organized.

In the vicinity of the place you can find Olimje with a monastery that is renowned for one of the oldest pharmacy shops of Europe. In the immediate vicinity is also the thermal spa and water park Terme Olimia.

Rogaška Slatina is recognizable by mineral water springs. The mineral water was discovered here already by the Romans and in the 17th century the place became famous throughout the entire Europe. Another famous thing of the place is the crystal glass, sold throughout the entire world.
